We’re delighted to be on the shortlist for “Outstanding SME” at Scottish Renewables Supply Chain Awards, taking place in Aberdeen on the 22nd of August.
We’re 5 years young, but in that time, we’ve set about transforming the offshore access landscape; introducing an entirely new category of personnel transfer; the Get Up Safe (GUS) heave compensated hoist. We set up local manufacturing and rolled product out at scale into the World’s largest offshore windfarm (Hornsea 2) and the first commercial offshore windfarm in the United States (Southfork Wind), allowing them to entirely remove boat landings from their design. Along the way, we’ve set up world class user training (operated by Maersk Training) and service and maintenance capability.
Collaboration has been a key theme. We’re partnering with Sif Group to integrate GUS into their next-generation TP-less "Skybox" foundation, and with the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult and Offshore Wind Growth Partnership to extend the capabilities of the system to encompass cargo lifting and compatibility with floating offshore wind. But if there’s a giant who’s shoulders we’ve been standing on, it’s Ørsted’s.
The time has rushed past, but the work is just beginning. There’s a lot of offshore wind in need of safer, better access still to come 😊
Congratulations to all the other great finalists. Look forward to seeing you in Aberdeen.
